Instrument Hire sets for Schools
Application form here...Instrument Hire Scheme terms and conditions for First Access sets
Instruments from First Access (WCET) sets cannot be taken home by pupils.
Schools delivering their own First Access work can request sets to hire (priority may be given to those using Associate Providers). Schools need to use the same request form as that used for subsidies and provide details of anticipated numbers of pupils, year groups and duration.
The school/teacher/Associate Provider will need to provide specific requirements to Swindon Music Service and the Learning Resource Hub. Teachers/Associates Providers should periodically check First Access sets for any maintenance or repair issues. This is especially important at the end of each academic year. Issues must be reported to the Learning Resources Hub immediately. WSLRistrumentLoans@wiltshire.gov.uk. If necessary, sets will need to be collected from schools for servicing.
The hirer (schools) is responsible for routine and day-to-day maintenance as well as repair of Fist Access (WCET) instruments. Associate Providers will be able to assist with queries regarding this. If replacement items are required, Learning Resources Hub should be notified.
Instruments must not leave the school premises other than for repair issues.
It is a condition of the scheme that instruments are returned in the same condition as when received; therefore, the cost of any replacements or repairs during the hire period, or in order to return them in a fit state, will need to be borne by the hirer.
